An emoji tells a thousand words


The new generation of phone users have really never known a time when they had to go without it. “It’s the first thing I do when I wake up." “I’d rather lose my wallet than my phone.” 

For them, it’s not just a handset. It’s their connection to the outside world. It’s integrated into the everyday – it connects us to our friends, latest scores, fresh gigs, and nearby foodie spots… 

Our challenge was to give the long-standing Optus Prepaid identity a refresh, and help it stand out against the sea of generic lifestyle imagery seen all too often in the category. We did this by tapping into the universal language of emojis, and celebrating the little moments that make every conversation special.
