Over the past few months our very own Creative Director, Chris Maclean, has been touring Australia, like a branding Bono if you will, with his ever inspiring talk, 'How to make brands and influence people'. It all started in front of 200 people in Brisbane before moving on to Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide and finishing at the sold out Powerhouse Museum in Sydney. The talk lays to rest some of the confusion surrounding what branding really is, and delves into the philosophies and tools we employ every day here at Re. He addresses how design and branding can influence a wider audience than just that of a brand’s customer and how it can be used to change the world and play a part in a broader context, such as the US political debate. It provides some serious food for thought, to say the least.
Contrary to the somewhat misleading press release image there is not a book to go alongside this, however, a recording of the event will be up on the AGDA website soon for those that missed out. Many thanks to AGDA for hosting.
