Last night our Design Director Brad Stevens spoke to graduates, students and designers at the Surry Hills Library on Crown Street as part of the AGDA NSW 'First in Five Out' series of lectures. The AGDA NSW hosted event invited 3 designers, Johanna Roca (Landor), Amy Nadaskay (Monogram) and Brad to discuss their first five years out of university, focussing on their varied career paths and some of their successes and failures.
Brad's talk entitled 'If I knew then what I know now' humbly looks back at the ups and downs of his career and the things he has learnt along the way. The seven point presentation discussed such things as the need for a relaxed studio culture, the importance of selecting your first agency and getting away from your computer and getting flipping creative.
A very encouraging and inspiring evening! Thanks to AGDA for another great event and well done to everyone that talked.
